I am more intrigued each time I encounter these ethereal beings. Just their sheer grandeur and their prehistoric origin is absolutely fascinating. The true gentle giants that display incredible familial camaraderie. Giants that have paved forests and ecosystems through time in both Asia and Africa.
The forests of South India, namely Kabini and Bandipur account for the largest population of wild Asiatic Elephants in the world. Migrating through the sacred woods and finding the rivers of life. Photographing them with habitat or up close where we can see the incredible textures and ivory are both equally exciting.
