The Goal

The land to which I owe my origin, and identify with as my people. Bijapur, now known as Vijayapura has always been overlooked by everyone. It has been stereotyped for dust, drought, and extreme temperatures. The only nice thing that it has been associated with is the glorious 'Gol Gumbaz'; the second-largest dome in the world following St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City. Vijayapur is home to a hidden paradise. The biodiversity unnoticed and its beauty unseen. I made it my mission to make a film on the unexplored side of Vijayapura.

Apart from its uncherished 1000 years of history which has almost never been seen by either locals or the people of the world. It also hosts thousands of flamboyant greater flamingos that migrate 1000s of kilometers from the north. Bar-headed geese that fly south from Mongolia over the Himalayas. The schedule I protected endangered blackbucks or Indian Antelopes roam free amidst farms and plains coexisting with farmers.
